Where Recent Donations Went During the Government Shutdown

I’d like to thank everyone who chose to donate through my VA Disability Calculator app. During the recent government shutdown, those funds were used to purchase food items for a local shelter. All donations were matched dollar-for-dollar, converted directly into supplies, and delivered in person.

My kids assisted with the drop-off as a way to learn about community support and service. I’m sharing this to show where the support went and to highlight why local, direct aid matters during disruptions like this.
